Youth
Services Program
Weekend
Tournaments and Activities
The Youth Services Regional Tournaments provide exciting
opportunities for children to participate in supervised inter-playground
competition in various sports. They have received accolades from all quarters
and are recognized as an integral extension of the day-to-day after school
program. Playground supervisors encourage children to participate in individual
and team sports that will lead to culminating regional events. Children
and parents alike enjoy these weekend tournaments that showcase the skills
the children have learned and practiced after school each day.
More than 40,000 children annually participate in these tournaments and
are encouraged and supported by more than 30,000 spectators. Weekend tournaments

of young people by using sports as a vehicle and to focus on building
